With a KT7 motherboard, you could control the core voltage for the processor from the BIOS setup. At 1.3 GHz, you'd want at least 1.8 or 1.85v, probably more to run stably. This alone will help a LOT! Hope this bit helps and good luck with the overclock.

What are your temps? My guess is heat....

I am running an 1ghz axia at 1.33 also rock solid. The temp has never been above 50c (idle) with just a beefy heatsink and 2 case fans. It has never locked up once and plays Quake 2 all day!! Specs below. (I hope, just set this up)..:o)

Just lowered my Vcore voltage to 1.8 from 1.87 and lowered my temp to a steady 48c. clocking @ 1345mhz now, god I love this!!

Try lowering your Vcore a bit more. Could you post your temperatures under load..those are the figures that matter.

Under load the CPU temp never reached above 54c, and case temp never above 28c.

It seems to me that your problem is with temp you need a better cpu heat sink and fan. this is my specification ;
TaiSol CGK760092 CPU Cooler - Duron/Thunderbird (Socket A)
Taisol's latest and best performing Socket A cooler which is identical to the best selling CGK742092 but with the inclusion of an impact forged Copper insert on it's base for enhanced heat dissapation
Removed fan and replaced with a;
Delta 60mm Fan
This is the fan fitted to the Globalwin FOP38 CPU cooler. Widely accepted as the highest performance 60mm fan money can buy it spins at 6800RPM and pushes a voluminous 37.61CFM. This fan is noisier than most.
i've overclocked my 1ghz axia chip to a masive 1470mhz stable run's 3dmark 2000 and 3dmark 2001 no problems.temp range from idl 27c to load 45c.
athlon 1ghz axia overclocked 10.5*140 1470mhz
abit kt7a riad
5.1 sound blaster
gerfoce 2 ultra soon to be replaced with geforce 3
2*ibm 30.7gb hard drives in raid mode
