Hi,

I just got 2 sticks of mushkin black II, 512 each.

When I put them in, I got a bios checksum error?! The system will not post.

Is this an RMA situation, or is there anything I can do? Maybe this is an incompatibility issue with the combination of this board with this memory (Abit IC7-MAX3, for the record).

Any and all advice would be greatly appreciated. I'm completely stumped by this.

Quick update - I tested each stick individually. Neither one worked. That seems kind of suspicious to me, one would think that one stick or the other was bad... but both?

I think it might be a compatibility issue or something?

Bummer. Can you test with another brand of RAM? I had a mushkin compatibility issue with my EPOX 8rda+. I had to boot off a stick of Crucial to get into the BIOS and change a setting. Everything's been fine since.
