I hate madden online thread!

So today i finally decided it was time to dive into madden online, i've played madden for years and had madden 2004 for a few weeks now.

Anyways, i play 4 games today and get my but spanked, i'm talking 40-7 59-14 and what have you. Then tonight i play again and i'm beating this guy 24-7, 5 mins left in the 4th and he decides he needs to go for it on 4th and 20, he misses and then he quits.

I know he isnt quitting for stats, because it hurts your stats to quit...why in gods name does he/she need to quit??? i just dont understand it.

And aparently people only stay in the game if it's close or if they win because every time i lost the person said something like "thanks for stickin in there man"

it's amazing how some people can ruin a game...

I'm like 1-4 between 2 different user names, tonight I played against a twheaton79 something or other, pack vs pats (me = pack), and it was close until the very end, where he scored 2 TDs in the last minute, I get my ass handed to me most of the time, still not in the madden groove, unless I'm playing the AI set at Rookie, lol.

well we should hook up some time. I have a buddy who has it for xbox ps2 and his dad has it on his PC, yet he wont install it on his PC :(

It would be nice if they had some kind of skill level rank so you could pick opponents that are some what similar skill to you. Its no fun getting the floor wiped with your butt and its no fun wiping the floor with someone who isn't even a challenge for you. This should be an option for all online games IMO.

Use to play online madden (think it was madden, cant remember) on the dreamcast.

Got so boring because EVERYONE would quit if they started losing or something. I haven't played a football game sense then, and I use to play many of them before that.

I used to play NFL2K1 online. I don't think I ever finished a single game, even though I played it online a number of times. Once you start beating someone they just quit. It's good to hear that Madden at least updates stats when your opponent quits.

The stat tracking should show how many times a person has quit out of a game, then you can decide if you want to play them or not.

Actually, there is that feature for Madden 2k4, shows a disconnect percentage for the player ;)

There are both disconnect % as well as ratings baesd on your "career"

I pounded this guys face in tonight 48-21 mainly due to the 6 unlucky turn overs...point is that he stayed, i guess ya just gotta look around.
