Geil Golden Dragon pc3500 512mb? is it any good?

Think about buying Buffalo PC3700 512MB for $103. It supposedly has quality chips in it. Although it won't get you the high FSB as the GeIL might, it will give you timings that the GeIL won't allow for. Within reason, low timings outperform higher memory speeds.

BTW when did you purchase your Corsair? Was it LL or C2? If it was BH-5 chip, you probably won't get a better overclock (maybe higher memory speed, but not-so-good timings) with either stuff. Although with duel-channel you will see some improvements over a single stick.
