Ways to find if L1 Connected?

Hi, i just got a 2.2 ghz Athlon w/ 266 fsb w/ and Asus A7A266 mobo. I forgot to check if the L1 bridge was connected or not, and nearly broke the damn thing trying to secure the Heatsink. Anyways, is there any way to check it without physically detaching the heatsink, because there is no way in hell I am gonna do that. Better a slower processor than a dead one i guess.

Try a different multiplier, if it dosen't work, then it's locked. Clear your cmos to get back to default..

2.2Ghz huh? what dimitri said. try to change the multiplier. if it works, then it's unlocked. if not, it isn't.
