Can I?

I don't know if this should have been posted in the cooling section. I'm sorry if I made a mistake, Daniel please move it if it's in the wrong place.

Yes you can. Acetone will work well for that.

Be careful not to get the acetone on the 4 rubber pads on the cpu as it could also dissolve the adhesive holding the pads on.

if you're thinking, acetone as in acetone-in-nail-varnish-remover, then you don't even need that. even budget, acetone-free nail-polish remover works really well.. that's what i use... dead easy. :)

dunno.. i just know that it says 'acetone-free' on the bottle.. i always thought acetone was the active ingredient.. but they must've found something else. works like a charm.. i've tried a few different types as well.

I've done the same thing, and it works like a charm.

Hey I believe that it works I was just wondering if you guys could look on the back of the bottle. I work in a lab so I can grab the stuff from work to test it out.
