speed of cd-roms

is there anyway to find the speed of a cd-rom?
(ie 8x)
because i have 4 unlabled cd-roms and i wouldnt mind finding their max speed to i can put them in their right place

Download the Nero Burning Rom demo and you'll get Nero CD speed wiht it. Works good for finding transfer rates.
