Thanx 4 the previous info..........but.......
Tried the old pencil trick again several times, (with diff leads), each time a good clean btween - but still no m'plier unlock. Have also just tried (twice) silver conductive paint, all done under m'glass with a pin. All very neat. Still not worked.
All this f@*!ing about and my IDE2 port appears 2 have gone..Hmmm
Think i'll just nail the f@**@r 2 the wall and go buy a gig
Any ideas out there - i'm lost (FSB increase = unstable above 105)

How good is mobo - i c loads runnin @ 133fsb???? How

cheers dudes

What week is your Duron? I mean, what is the code written on the core of the CPU?

You might have a bum mobo... I might have one too, I sometimes get some freaky voltage anomalies. Otherwise, the mobo is great.
Have you tried those FSBs with the PCI speed nearer to the spec, 33MHz?
If my memory serves, they're somewhere near 120MHz.

try turning your RAM down to Cas 3, and put it at host clock instead of host clock+PCI, see if that lets you get higher FSB.

I should know this but are you telling him to run it at 100mhz(host clock) instead of 133(host clock+PCI).

The memories, yes. Use anything above 124MHz FSB and it's no asynchoronous memory clock.
