View Full Version : how to change multiplier with crappy mobo?
i have a duron 600 and i would like to overclock it to about 800 or so. my question is, before i pencil in the bridges and stuff, if there is a way to alter the chip or the mobo to allow multiplier changes cos i have a crap gigabyte 7zm, and it doesnt allow either bios or dip switches for changing the multiplier
thanks
I have a crappy mobo too -Jetway 663AS Pro (the Pro only means ATA100, which is daft). My mobo doesn't allow mult. changes. Looks like u have the same problem.
I';ve tried cut 'n' pencil and I almost ruined my Duron 650. Make sure you do it properly. If ONE bridge isn't cut properly or connected properly it may not boot (it happened to me - I missed out three bridges and no sign of life)

cutting the traces on your cpu would be a pain in the arse. just go search through www.tomshardware.com and the article shouldn't be too hard to find.
