I have run into a problem. I was tweaking the registry of my new computer I just built today, and when I restarted I couldn't get into windows anymore. I can get to the login screen and enter my password but after that it gives me a blue screen. For some strange reason when I put in the boot disk, the computer does not run the cd. What should I do? Please help.
Thanks
Try holding down the F5 key when booting up to get in to the safe mode in windows, check your bios and make sure your cd is listed as the first bootup device or else the comp will try to boot from the HDD first.
If you can get into safe mode it would probably be a good idea to do a system restore. It will restore to before you messed with the registry. If you don't have any important files on it yet, you might just want to reformat and reinstall windows. Good Luck!

Are you shore your Bios are set to boot from cd because being unable to boot from the cd has nothing to do with your hard drive?

If you are running windows 9x there are 2 registry databases. u kiked your real database a** but u can fix it. jast delete the whole database. and windows will automaticly restore the corect one.
