View Full Version : what cooler
should i get the Taisol CGK742092 Cooler
or get another Vantec
Better yet, get the CGK-760092, with a delta 38cfm fan. The fan is loud, but very effective. Both the CGK-740092 and 760092 are easily adapted to an 80mm fan for better cooling at lower noise levels. Something to consider. KDComputers.com has both models for a reasonable price. For a comparable price, the GolbalWin CAK-38 does a good job also.

The clip on the Taisol is extremely tight and hard to install. The reviews on it are okay but there are better. I have no complaints about my Vantec, easy clip and great cooling.
Many of you know I hate clip retention systems. The Taisol, at least uses all three lugs on each side, so the likeliness of breaking one is pretty small. I simply don't know why other HSF manufacturers don't emply a three lug system. That brute, Millenium Glaciator only uses one lug and it has the highest pressure clip system I have yet to read about, not to mention it is heavy! Imagine that hanging sideways on your motherboard in a tower.
