The BIOS reports the cpu as: Unknown CPU type 1600+
Sisoft Sandra belives it´s an Athlon XP

Coupled with a decent base, ie. good vid card, ram & mobo, these CPU's should be quite good. I just checked the AMD site, and they don't seem to mention the new CPU's at all, except in the tech docs, there is a new file for a "Model 8" Duron, Morgan was "Model 7".

the new durons have the applebred core. These durons are exactly like the throughbred athlon xp cpus except the durons have 64K of L2 cache. The new durons are higher clcoked, .13 micron, and have 64K of L2 cache, if sold at good prices, these will be great cpus as they are expected to reach speeds of over 2.3GHz when overclocked.
