PC 3500 1GB Kit HyperX DDR 434MHz DIMM CL2 $233.00

PC 3700 1GB Kit HyperX DDR 466MHz DIMM CL3 $235.00

I dont know which i should get. I was leaning towards the 3500 cause its CL2. What yall think?

for $2 more i would go with the PC3700. You know it can run at a faster speed and should still be able to run at CAS 2 when at 433(216x2) speeds like the PC3500

If you are planning on running 2-2-2-5, I would not get any of them.... my last khx3500 wont do those timings nomatter how much voltage I run through them..... after rmaing it the ones they sent me were worst...... I would try to find something with bh-5 chips in them like the mushkin 3500 lvl2.....

mushkin level 2 is by far teh best though ;d hehe if you're wililng to shell that 100 more for guarenteed 2225 chips =d

just wait till mushkin has a sale on their level 2 black ram.. then use the 10% off coupona nd you should be able to get a pair for 300 =d

Maybe look for some 3200 or 3000 2-2-2... Luihed has some 3200 and i have some 3000 and we can both do ddr500 2-2-2-5

Hey q149,

what voltage are you running your memory at. I'm using 2.9v, but I have to use the 4/5 divider to get 2-2-2-5. Thanks

Phil

i want something that is 1 gig that will be decent timings, good for dual channel, and get maybe around 210-220 fbs without modding.

The 3200 BH-5 HyperX is $271. I can get the 3500 CH-5 for $233.

EDIT : The timings on the 3500 are 2-3-3-7-1 (CAS Latency 2)

Thanks,

I actually solved my own problem. I set it to 3.2v, which read about 3.26 and it worked and seems to be stable at 1/1 with the settings 2-2-2-5. Terrific! Am I going to need any special cooling. I felt the heat spreaders and while warm they are not hot.

Phil

I would get the 3500, but if you leaning toward the 3200 googlegear.com has it for 266/ free 2 day air. And thanks q149, you inspired me.
