Hi there. I got a strange problem. I cannot overclock my AMD TB 1333. Since the multiplier isn't locked, I tried to upper the voltage a bit and set my BIOS to 10.5 * 133 (33Mhz) on my KT7A. Well the outreading of the VCore really sucks with the KT7A...I'd say that the VCore is somewhat like 1.85 V and the strange thing about it is that the CPU posts without any problems, problems occur after booting up to WIN98. Just after everything is loaded (after 7 seconds) the system freezes! Uppering the voltage doesn't help ----at 10.5!!!!*133. This isn't normal is it. The same problem occurs when lowering the voltage to 1.72V @1333. This was possible some weeks ago and now I can't do it anymore. My CPU doesn't post when setting the FSB to 136Mhz!!!
Please help...
Marc
You'll get more help if you give more information. Start with the components in your system, like PSU wattage, memory speed, all the add-on cards, even your system and cpu temps. Also, if you are running the YH revision of bios on the KT7A, in bios, set the K7_CLK (of something like that) from default to optimum.

I had the same problem. Setting the K7_CLK to optimal fixed it. I'm running the ZT rev of the bios.
Hey TT120, what the K7_Clk? What exactly do you mean? I may have missed that in the bios...and how do you find out which bios you have...Cause I can find out which number version but like ZT? donno about that. I still havent been able to use teh multi 10, I have my 1000 266 axia at 1309mhz now somthing like 138x9.5
alos i notice when i set fsb to 136, it sets itself to 137 and if a add one more increment it goes to 138?
136+1 is not 138..if is im going nuts

136+1 is not 138..if is im going nutsIt's called K7 CLK_CTL and it's the last item on the first page in Advanced Chipset Features in your bios. You can find out which bios you have by looking at the string of munbers at the bottom of the screen when you first boot up, the last 2 letters should be your bios rev. Mine seems to add one to the FSB sometimes too, dunno whats causing that. It's working ok right now though.
