Hi

I just pruchased my Senfu water coolings et with a Eheim 1048 pump. Is it possible that my CPU has become slower??? I really have the feeling. With my Alpha PAL 6035 the temp was 39°C idle and now it is 33°C idle, so from this point it is impossible that a perdormance loss occurs right?

But could there come any interference of the Water jacket with my CPU into play? Thanx
Marc

I really thinh there is something amiss here. As you can see from my sig. my idle is 12C lower than yours. As far as your water jacket goes, I am not that well versed in H2O cooling, some of the others here can answer that better than I.
What are you useing for temp. monitoring?

CPU performance is not affected by the temperature of your system. The only thing that temperature affects is your cpulife or alternatively your ability to overclock.

It maybe possible that your graphics card core/ram is being pushed to far. FPS drops big time when the core/ram overheats. Check for artifacting, texture leaking and degenerating benchmarks.

That is not entirely correct. With semiconductor ICs, for every 10C you lower the temperature, you will realize a 2-3% improvement in performance, at the same voltage. Every CPU has temperature threshold steps, where above that step, you have to drop the speed a little. My 1G Tbird will run 10.5x150 up to 30C above 30C, I have to run 10.5x145 up to 36C. Above 36C, I have to drop to 10x150 up to 40C and above 40C, I have to drop to 10x145. That is regardless of the core and i/o voltages. Bear in mind that at 10.5x150, I am running over 100W ! No small task for a cooling system, but then I have the best designed air cooling system possible.
