Re-working my Primary Rig to the following
XP2100 DUT3C 9597107260065 (Outstanding number!:D )
AIUHB 0248 MPMW

mobo: EPOX 8RDA3+ v2.0
PS: Antec SL-450 (450watts)
DDR: TwinMos PC3700 (CL2.5) 512MB 2.7v
Video: Geforce 4 Leadtek A250 (4400)
HD: Maxtor 160GB ATA133 (8Mb cache)
HS: a) Volcano 11+ Xaser Edition w/SmartFan2 or
b) Thermalright AX-7 w/Tornado F5 80mm

Setting it up as I complete this post.
BTW, XP2100 have proved to run @2.45GHz on my KT400 FIC An19-E mobo. I will start out with the Volcano at first... then move to my ole fav, AX-7. (eardrum still hurts)

Goal: To achieve FSB speed of 240MHz and 2.5GHz
Objective: Get max stable rig out of Epox's new mobo.

Will keep you posted.

gl on your goal.. how much vcore did you hvae to pump it to get 2.45??

ps.. i see you have one of the first batch of tbred bs =d

I'm looking forward to this one.
I own a chip from the same batch (very first available in the United States.)

I am with you all the way but this batch of chips can simply not do 2.5 on air under normal conditions. :(

Newer chips, maybe with lots of luck. I'm particularuly interested in FSB though regardless of MHz...

But who knows with jet engine fan noise and really high Vcore...

Of course we're talking 12 hour Prime95 Torture Test passable - not Windows bootable here.

yeah... I should of set this cpu on my ABIT NF7-S, but I got that wacky xp1700 doing 2.535GHz just fine (which i'm on at this time)
I can tell you this, the twinmos pc3700 blew chunks all over my abit. refused to do 230mhz on this board. can't explain why, but I'll stick it to the EPOX an see what it does with it.

RedDawg41, our CPUs come from the same batch. Mine does 2280, yours 2470. There's 200 MHz difference, or is there...

Perhaps I could clock it to 2470 and boot into Windows. Prime95 would take one look at it and start laughing but it would be stable enough to post all specs... don't be shy about posting whether these are stable specs or not.

stable as stable gets... I guess... I'm too shy right now about Prime95...

Damn it to hell why not

I know it's gonna bust my ballz about now... but it's the godforsaken TwinMos which I can't explain all the BSOD getting past 216MHz FSB

okay... got over the issue of 216MHz

now running at somewhere around 225

There is an option under the new bios for this type of memory
"Auto Precharge Selectable"
also I enable cpu interface to "Aggressive"

hmmmm.... still can't get to 233mhz yet...

I sported 208 FSB on my PC2100 before I realized I hadn't switched from Auto to 100% Memory Frequency which limited my FSB to 152 of course.

I also pass 7.5 hours of Prime95 with a lot more than I can with 8 hours of Prime95 Torture Test. That's where the number 12 comes in "12 hour Torture Test"

So that's why I'm bugging you: "12 hours Prime95 Torture Test no erros whatsoever of any kind displayed stable 2.5 GHz" or "I ran Prime95 Torture Test here and there and it seemed fine to me 2.5 GHz."
(sorry)

Thanks, I know that this will hit the slammer with prime95, I'm running 100% on the memory (alot different from the abit board)
but I'll have to step down the multi to 10 or 10.5 or so... I figure let me see if 225FSB will hold out on this thing or not. Still very dissapointed in this TwinMos DDR mem.
