is ther an option to turn off the onboard video on the nf7-m

There must be, since there's an AGP slot. If you don't plug a monitor in it, I'll bet it transfers automatically, just like it does when you switch an AGP card for a PCI card.

Usually they are in the BIOS screen under advanced or onboard options or something like that.
