Just want to know if I could see a good diff in folding for a 2500+ Barton (512k cache) well overclockable VS the one on my sig???

BTW if the answer is yes wich one I must chose? Is there a "magic" stepping like the 1700+ DLT3C?

Thanks

dont think the cache does much for folding.. raw mhz is better for that..

the excalibur 1700+ are still some of teh best stepping 1700+s out there =d

I don't agree at all. I run the 3.5 beta core with the -advmethods on both my 1700+ o/c to 2300mhz and my 2500+ o/c to 2200 mhz. The 2500+ does a frame in about 5 minutes where the 1700+ takes almost ten. I don't know if it is the beta core or what, but I have been monitoring this for about 3 days now and the rates seem to be consistent.

I am thinking about getting rid of my 1700 in favor of the 2500, except the 2500s get SO hot. My 1700+ is 40C full load with SK-7 and TT smart fan, but my 2500 was heating up my room at just 2090 mhz. I had to put it in the basement cause it was so hot :)

As I said, this is just my experience but the 2500+ seems to crunch better for me.
