Has anybody upgraded their system and gotten a DROP in their 3Dmark score? I just got a new Asus P4P800 Deluxe for the system in my sig. Got it humming along nicely @ 2600 mhz with PAT and dual channel DDR. Then I ran 3dmark and I actually LOST about 50 marks. WTF, I'm thinkin'?!
So when I look at the individual subsections of the benchmark I notice that my CPUMark has gone WAY down. I was getting 44.4 fps in CPU test 1 and 7.7 fps in CPU Test 2(at 2.2 ghz with no PAT and single channel DDR). Now I'm eeking out 34.2 fps and 3.7 fps.
I ran both benches on 3Dmark03 Build 2. The only major difference besides the boards is that I WAS using 3.6 Cats, but now I'm running 3.7's. But since my problem is with the CPU portion of the test, that shouldn't matter a hill of beans, should it?
As always, any advice is appreciated.
Again, has anybody upgraded their system and gotten a DROP in their 3Dmark score?
