Hello...

I have this asus p4c800-e with a p4-3.0Ghz 800fsb and I'm getting temps between 47c and 52c for the cpu and 38c for the motherboard using bios hardware monitor. Is this normal?

1.- I'm not overclocking.
2.- I used artic silver thermal comp when I mounted the cpu.
3.- my case is a lian-li alluminum with 4 chassis fans all of them working.

And my 2nd question is...

Where could I check the cpu fsb speed?

Thank you in advance for any help.

looks good to me
install the utilities that came with the mobo to find the info you seek, ie: PC Probe, information page, and click on processor

what kinda case have you got your rig in? have you got any extra fans? I have my 2.4C up to 3.15 and im still inching further (carefully now) i am only on air, with the stock heatsink and cpu fan, and a couple of others to help things along but i only get those temps you talk about under heavy load w/ 1.6Vc. when all is idle (as in bios) i only get 27 - 33 C? First ask a few people with that chip where is a safe temp....see if intel has a temp rating for it....then see where is goes using asus probe (its on the CD you got with the board) and you might want to use the torture test function of prime95 click here to get it if you dont got it (ftp://mersenne.org/gimps/p95v237.exe)

this will push the temp up to about where any game of function could get it...if things go too far that what you have been told stop the test and figure out what is cusing the prob!
