Alright, I was scouring the net for more info on overclocking, as I have just purchased a bunch of parts, put 'em together myself, and have a strong desire to pump mor eout of this beast.

First off, I was a little hasty and thought getting ANY cooler would be fine, I had no clue about the difference between them. So I'm running an 850 T-Bird on the a7v133 and the normal cpu temp is about 42.5... ****E.
Next thing is I didn't know different makers of RAM made a difference so I got screwed there too :(

LAstly, I heard something about 850 TBirds not being able to push the fsb up to `133. Cuz i tried a couple of times and it just shut down... One time it would not boot at all and wouldn't 'reset' itself. I had to manually turn down the multiplier to 5x! Anyway how can I check something like that.

And if my RAM is pc133, it will be able to handle 133 mhz no matter what manufacturer it is, right? It'll just be tougher to OVERCLOCK, right?

Anyway, I look forward to gettin and givin tons of input here!

Well as for the PC133 RAM, any PC133 RAM should be able to handle 133 mhz fine, as long as you don't turn like performance options on (such as CAS 2, 4-way interleave, etc). And yeah, generic is not likely to overclock nearly as well as say... Mushkin, which can do like 160 mhz easy :)

42 C isn't all that bad of temp, depending on what u mean, is that just when the computer is sitting there? or like right after you've run 3dmark for 30 minutes? If you want a recommendation on a new CPU cooler I could help you out if you tell me how much u wanna spend. Which CPU fan do you have anyway?

As far as the 850 not being able to handle 133 mhz FSB, i don't really know the answer to that or not.

it depends what kind of "generic" ram u buy.....some are better than the others, at least that's with my experience

i have a toshiba pc133 128 mb ram that do up to 158 fsb with everything off
