Harddrive storage of clones

Have a 80 gig wd that I want to clone 2 different pc harddrives to using ghost as backups.When I fdisk do I make 2 primary partitions?Or do I have to make 1 primary and 1 extended?Asking this bacause I am not sure what will happen when I clone 2 different harddrives to each partition.Anybody ever do this before?
