Hey all; as I haven't the room for a 4.1/5.1 setup, nor the budget for Klipsche 2.1's, I need some suggestions a for (relatively) cheap 2.1 system. Thanx, :)

I am assuming from your cheap comment that your subject that asks for speakers that cost more than $100 is a mistake? :)

word. the logitech 340's are pretty good as well. i did a review on them and posted in here. search for 340 and my name in this forum and it will prolly pop up. this place moves pretty slow so it's prolly on page 4 or 5 any way. it was about a month ago that i did it so you can check the dates.
EDIT: here's the link for ya. http://forum.oc-forums.com/vb/showthread.php?s=&threadid=225899&highlight=logitech+AND+340s
another word on them. they're louder then the review would have you think. my roomates ALWAYS complain about the volume. to combact the overactive sub i have it facing the side of my desk so it get muffled some. otherwise they're great for the money.

Yep, the z340s are great. I own two sets of them, one for my comp, one for the guest comp. You can buy the Klipsch 2.1s from Klipsch online for $99 refurbished. That's under $100 (without shipping)

I've got a basic 2.1 set by Cambridge Soundworks that sounds pretty nice. They are 2 years old. List price was $50 but that's probably changed by now.
As an aside, I have an Altec Lansing 2.0 (model 220) set that sounds really good for 2 desktop speakers. Staples was clearancing them for $10 after rebate so I bought another set for a future family computer build. They look really good with the black/silver computer cases.
