It's been brought to my attention that a lot of you have links to your own personal 3D Mark scores in your sigs. The sig rules only allow for links to the OC.com 3D Mark team (http://oc3dmark.octeams.com/). So in an effort to remain as unpopular as ever I will be cutting such personal score links out of threads when they are brought to my attention. The pruning will commence soon but not immediately, I'm going to give everyone some time to make the adjustments for themselves.

/me sets stopwatch to 60 seconds to allow time to change.

This rule has been in effect for a long time folks.

Personally, I think it is a rule that should be changed. Having access to the info that a benchmark like that provides is very valuable.

Being an overclocker, I can use the information to help me evaluate & compare my system, find problem's, and make improvement's.

It would be nice to have access to that information without having to ask for it(and waiting or never getting a link), or the person needing to be an -OC3Dmark team- member.

I realize that politic's, money, and maybe even personal dislike enter into this equation, but I would like to see it re-visited if at all possible.

I mean, if we can't have the link's in our sig's, then why can we post them at all?

it's a rule, which means it has to be followed. I can't say that I disagree with your opinion, El<(')>Maxi, but that is why we set the OC3DMark team up...to collect and share those scores. I, too would like to see this rule looked at again, but until it does, the mods must do their jobs.

I have a couple of questions regarding the OC3DMark team website. Is it still being updated? Are people still submitting their new high scores?

I have submitted a couple of scores myself over the past couple of weeks, but none of them have been posted on the team website. I think I followed the rules, but how do I know?

The full sig rules arehere (http://forum.oc-forums.com/vb/showthread.php?s=&threadid=58341), and according to them your sig is over the size limits. So you'll need to make it smaller.

eobard, I was just about to say that my sig is within the rules (10 lines*0.75 + 2 lines*1.0= 9.5 points), but then I reread the rules and it says that you must use 800x600 resolution. Oh well, I forgot that you had to use such a low resolution when determining the number of lines.

Still doesn't answer the question about updating the team website. I hope that people will start updating their information on the website, so that it can be more useful.

1) Yep, that trips up a lot of people. But I always run my desktop at 800X600 so I know if something's over the limit.

2) I don't really have anything to do with the 3D Mark site so I PM'd SpeeDj (this is his area to moderate) to get his involvement/input.

Thank you Kato for updating the website.

I finally managed to beat Deathstar13's score, and take the #1 spot on the 3dmark01 MX440 page. Next I am going to try to beat your score on the Ti4200 page. My best Ti4200 score so far is only 15621, but I haven't given finished tweaking everything yet.
