View Full Version : Decent Price on Mushkin from Newegg
Newegg has the dual (2) 512m pack of Level2 Black mushkin ram for $316 with free fedex express saver. that might not sound like much of a deal but the Mushkin site has them listed for $360 shipping not included (and kinda steep, nothing below $5), and other vendors apparently advertise these sticks but in fact do not have them-these are the real deal. a/w thought someone might be interested

Excess, this ram has a lifetime warranty, guaranteed to overclock well at aggressive settings, and you just about will not see another ram that has the timings this does. also uses winbond modules....oh yeah, and its mushkin :D
on another note i just went and ordered a kickass tshirt from their site, couldn't help myself it was pretty cheap

Keep in mind when ordering Mushkin they have very good deals randomly on the weekends. If your ordering on a thursday or so you might want to wait, thye might have a deal on what you want.

Ah, forgot about the weekend thing, and those links still dont work, but as they only have one shirt (so it seems) its just under the "fun stuff" section... its a funny shirt and dang that case badge is coiol but 5 bucks.,..heck no! :)
fascinating....look how i did an edit on that message? that is because i posted the message, clicked on the links, they worked, then i edited to say that they should work....and now they don't work for me either. oh well, go check out the pen with the latency of2 :D

They don't work because of all that screwy stuff in the middle. There is a way to edit Mushkin links so they'll work but I can't remember the directions on how to do it. I've bitched to Mushkin about this but they won't change it.
now the 1 gig of mushkin lvl2 is 289 from newegg

I was lucky enough to get in on Mushkins Promo deal a couple weeks back (pc3200 512mb Guaranteed to run 2-2-2 @ $139)
The only difference between the Level II and the Promo deal was that the Level II is SPD programmed to 2-2-2, but Mushkin guarantees the Promos to be able to run at 2-2-2. (I'm sure they could have SPD programmed the Promo sticks to be SPD 2-2-2, but that would be a conflict of interest and cut into the Level II sales, But its basicly identicle with the same BH-5 chips, Only the PCB color and spd program sets them apart, Plus the promo build had no Mushkin heatspreader, It took me 10 minutes on the phone with them to ask them if I could add a copper heatspreader and not void the warranty. They said Ok, but if I ever needed to return them I would have to remove the heatspreader lol)
I got two decent sticks, perhaps they will bring this deal back again someday, look on the weekends as that's when Mushkin has it's weekend sales.
Anyway back to the topic, Newegg is great and you gotta love them selling level II Mushkin much cheaper than Mushkin sells it at their site :)
just about any site will sell products for less than the main site. they give them deals, otherwise they would all have to push there products and advertise themselves istead of focusing on R&D
