Is there something more permanent than the pencil trick? What kind of conductive pens are there out there and where can I get one? Thanks for the help.

I ot mine from radioshack.com. They don't supply them in the store, only online and they go for 10 bucks apiece.

I did the pencil trick about 6 months ago and it is still fine, plus if you screw up it is a lot easier to correct :-)

I used the CircuitWorks conductive pen. Got it from Hosfelt electronics (they have a page, forgot the address) it was like $12 after shipping. I used scotch tape to cover all the bridges except the one I was connecting, and used a needle and pushed it into the tip of the pen. I got a little blob of the silver on the needle and spread it over the bridge. Gave it a bit of time to dry, pulled off the tape, moved on to the next bridge. The tip on the pen, even at 1mm, is still too wide for a single bridge so I used the needle method. Get a bright light and a magnifying glass.

CoolPC or OCZ has conductive expoxy. More than enough to do 10 processors. Comes in syringes. I used it on a 750 Duron and it worked-950
