good lord thats alot of money, what the heck is AMD trying to do to us? i mean crap, my money feels like its going to be in hibernation for a while. no way would i pay that much for a chip.

Do you remember 1995 or 1996? How about 1997?

Do you remember when the price had four digits in it, not three?

These are brand new processors, that's the market price for newest-latest.

Keep in mind that these processors were just released today. In a little while they will me much more reasonable: did you remember what the 3.0/3.2C processors came out at?

the price on the the Athlon 64 3200+ has already droped on newegg was $465 now its $457 only bad thing they dont have it in stock but not like im gonig to order it. i might build a 64 system but it wont be for like a year by then the price should drop and then will be alot more stuff supporting the 64
