Hello everyone, I have a few questions...
- I just overclocked my CPU to 1.37 ghz from 1.2 ghz (10X137). It is now running at 50 degrees celcius at max load (122 farenheit). Is that a decent temperature, and should I overclock it more?
- When you overclock your system bus, does that increase the temp. of your cpu as much as the multiplyer settings? Because I am thinking of pushing it up to 150 mhz when I get new ddr ram and video card.
- When people talk about the lifespan of a cpu, overclocked vs. normal, how long is this lifespan? Because I get a new cpu every 1-2 years, and throw out the last one, so would lifespan matter for me? Say if I wanted it to run 2 years, what is the temperature I could safely run at?
- What is the max temperature I can run my 1.2 ghz at, without it "frying"? (if that is possible)
- I am using the standard heatsink and fan that came with my cpu. The fan runs at about 5,000 rpms. Getting the heatsink installed was way too difficult, and I am never going through with that again, so would simply a better fan lower the temperature much? If so, how much, and which brands would work the best. BTW, my case has ample airflow...
Sorry about the hassle to you all, and thank you for helping me :)
