Yes, you can believe it. They use liquid nitrogen (LN2) to cool the cpu.Even with dry ice, it's possible to go over 2 gigs.

but the question is that would they keep it like that for about as long as we people do

i think the chip only lasts to the part were u get a screenshot and then it breaks but that is what i think

i think that bloke has done a Paint Shop Pro job on that pic....if not, what a waste of CPU power...hes got a big whopping 64MB to o with it....what does he do? plays quake 1 at 3000fps?....certainly would struggle on Quake 3, even at 2.1Ghz ....or...maybe.....just maybe....im a little jealous.

People who have that much money to burn should be slapped. They buy a 1.3Ghz chip, dump LN2 on it and run for one boot, all to get a picture of the speed that they wrecked their cpu at! Its lunacy.

The ones to be proud of are the highest clock speeds hit that last a year or so at that speed.

The time, effort, and cash spent on these LN setups are insane. Doesn't make a lot of sense to me, just for bragging rights.

That is a steup that wouuld smoke most game sout-due to the fast that yes 64mets of ram isint much by any standards-but when it is at a FSB of 189mhz double pumpued thats friggin SCREAMING-like x3 faster than our ram-so im sure it would keep up

Why not? On H-Oda's page they've had the following listed since last December:

Intel Pentium4 1.4G (Socket423)
IntenalClock 2205MHz
System Clock 157MHz
System Bus 630MHz QDR Mr. ja0hxv pai world
ASUS P4T / i850 Record Day : 2000/12/13

So a P4 1.7 GHz should go to 2.5 GHz under the same absurd setup. None of us will ever get anywhere close to these insane numbers with a useable system, so don't pay any attention to this kind of stuff.
