Does someone know if MSI KT4 mobos are PCI lock? how can I change dividers?

thanks

In conclusion, all mobos with VIA boards are not good for ocing?

When you are OCing, you have to be careful regarding PCI bus, aren't you?

Yes you have to watch your PCI AND your AGP slots which @ default
settings run @ 66/33. 66 being your AGP speeds an 33 being the PCI BUS speed. Any increase to your Front side bus speed will raise both pci/agp slots unless you have an agp/pci lock which
the KT4 does not. So what ever devices that you have pluged into your agp/pci slots will run FASTER but it also will make it
unstable if the device cannot handle the higher bus speeds.
the good thing tho is that the KT4 has a 1/5 divider that kicks in @ 166fsb which also brings you agp/pci speeds back to 66/33.

Dig in the forums ull find TONS of info on this:=)

hope this helps somewhat...well off to a LAN party in hawaii.
aloha:p

the divider actually kicks in at 152 fsb on via boards, but you are correct at 166b fsb all is sweet

but thats the reason many will not boot at 152 154 as the vga and pci are running to slow

there is a rumour going about the 800 despite using several dividers may be able to lock agp and pci but i cannot see how
