yah hi more n00b questions. what are these codes i see such as AXIA on this website.

Hey. These codes refer to the AMD chip. They represent the various series of chips that are manufactured. As small improvements in the chip are made they are incorporated into the chip and a new code is given. This seems to happen every couple of months.

i ordered a chip/mb combo off the net and they were charging extra for these codes heh. thanx for the info.

Check out the CPU database on the home page. The AXIA series does well.
