Well, to keep you all updated on the progress, the company has ordered 1 machine from me as a 'tester'. This machine is an XP 2400 based with Nforce chipset etc. My sole competition is quoting Dell Machines :rolleyes: . Mine are cheaper, and obviously better. Whatever happens, whether or not I get the contract to supply the machines, FAH will be on every last one of them. There were supposed to be 80+ machines, now only 65 machines :mad: . I have been told that that number may go back up to around 80, but I will just count on the 65. So, it breaks down like this:

If I get the job, 65 AMD XP's will be folding 24/7 WITHOUT the -forceasm flag. I can not risk FAH crashing the machines! This would equal 130Ghz of AMD Powah! Unfortunately the 3DNow boost is all they will get :(

If I lose the job to Dell, 65 P4 2.4 (533) will be folding 24/7 WITH the -forceasm flag as this command has no effect on crashing Intels.

I venture to say, I think the P4's would outfold the AMD's without SSE on the AMD's so in that respect... But, the Dell's take food right out of the mouth of my 2 1/2 year old daughter and I certainly can't have that. Either way, the hurt is coming for ALL OF YOU! Isn't the problem with the actual CPU itself, and not the instructions? If it was a core problem I'd be pretty sure that some tidbit of the core "coders" would be trying to solve this problem...

i dont know how to feel about this, on one hand i want nicksub to get the work, and the folders, on the other intels are better the AMD in all aspects as far as i am concerened. :D either way big score for nicksub :D

Of course! The VP is VERY into the cause actually. I introduced him to FAH about a year ago. The problem is/was, all their facilities don't have internet access until now.

Looks like I may be back up in the ranks again too.

Currently, being discussed is my return as part-time administrator at the company I used to work for (about 36 AMD CPU's folding for overdoze right now). I don't know if anything is left of OC3d anymore- except for Gtsimmo and myself, and occaisionally some help from flixotide and shadowcat66.... maybe NasSoccer?

Anyway, if I get back on the payroll, I expect to get OC3d back up to 15K/week.
