I havent heard of a tbird 1.2 that was unlocked-all axia are unlocked, you may have an avia which might be locked but that axia is just a 1.33 underclocked to 1.2-thats if its an axia
LikuidFusion, are you saying you believe all 1.2 AXIAs are unlocked? Because it certainly doesn't appear that ALL AXIAs are unlocked. I see lots of people talking about unlocking there 1.0 Ghz AXIAs here on the forums.

Sorry to ask again but I see that I have really asked two different questions in the subject and body of my post. Let me be more specific ...

I had a DOA 1.2 that was unlocked and I exchanged it for a 1.333 AXIA that was locked. There really does not seem to be a pattern, just whatever AMD feels like.

I have a 1.2 gig that came unlocked. Not axia though.
My AXIA T-bird 1.33 was unlocked. And here I bought some de-icer just in case it wasn't.
The 1.2 I got yesterday was unlocked. AXIA too. TOo bad I figured out it was my motherboard that was friend and not my cpu so I get to spend more money.
rugby,
Where did you buy your 1.2?
Was it a 200 or 266 Mhz CPU?

not all 1.2Ghz and higher CPU's are factory unlocked. My 1.33Ghz AVIA was locked and seen several other posts with people getting locked 1.33Ghz AXIA.

I bought my 1.2/200 from a local seller and paid an arm and a leg for it thinking my Duron had died and I desperately needed to get up and running again. Now I find out it was my ABit kt7-Raid that died and I now need to rma it back to the reseller.
