I'm using the Abit KT7 with a Tbird 1.2, I have it currently runnin at 1370 and it idles at 32 but with a a game it runs up to 48C.
is the Hedge hog a good HSF. I upgraded it to a 38CFM fan.
I have the case open right now because I'm gettin holes cut in the side of my case right now.
What are safe temps?

That sound a bit high with that monsterous heatsink.

me myself have overclocked a 1000 mhz to 1370 and I get about 48-49C when playing.
and I donīt have more than a superorb and 3 system fans pointed on the sorb.

Try add some artic silver and mount it better.

Your temps seem a little high for the hedgehog. I have the same HSF on a Abit KT7A-R. My cpu is at 1440 and temps are mid 20's idle and mid 30's full load. The thermistor is bent up to touch the bottom of the cpu and it is also greased. Enlight mid-tower case with a Sanyo Denki 92mm 55cfm intake(bottom front) and a Panflow 80mm 47cfm exaust right behind the HSF. I also have the Delta 38 on the hedgehog as exaust.

There have been a lot of mixed reviews on the hedgehog but it seems to me there may be a quality control problem with the way the fins are joined to the base. I am lucky and have a good one.

Cool,
I was thinkin of doing that when I get a lil more money, I also seen some 120mm fans with 131CFM for $18. I still want to get a better case because its a small midtower with no extra room. I bought the one I got now just because I got sick of waiting for my new other case to come in the mail.
What is the best case for over clocking? I've read about some that claim to drop temps.

I'm using the artic silver, but even when my temps go way up and I touch my heatsink it still feels cool to me.
should I use the silver on the temp control on the board?

i think it's bad contact between hs/f and cpu

Do you need the 4 little black sponge things on the Tbird. two of them came off by mistake so I took the other two off. if you do need them what can I use in place of them?
I'm going to try to remount it. I may have a bad connection.
Also how much silver do I need to use? I was told to only use a small bit of it, do I need to use more?
Thanks for all of your reply's and help
