8500le upgrade to......

My specs are in the sig. Not much, but enough to run most new games albeit at reduced settings.

I "think" my videocard is holding me back. OK, I'm pretty sure it is. It has been a faithful friend, despite some pretty serious overclocking. Right now it's running at a measly 290/275ish... I'm giving it a break :D

It's been about a year since I bought it. Is there a decent "budget" videocard that would be a significant improvement? By budget I mean under 200$ Preferably under 150$. I'm looking at 9600pro's but not sure if it is a good buy for the boost I'll get.

I game a lot. A LOT.

I will not mod the card (physically).

You could keep an eye on the Newegg.com refurb section as 9700 pros show up under $200 all the time, as well as other great deals on video cards.

You could also possibly find a 9500Pro/np for around 150-200.

9500 Pro....hard to find but much better then the 9600 Pro.
