I own a 1.33 ghz Tbird. It on an Abit KT7A-RAID mobo, with 256 meg of Simple Technologies RAM. I've had awsome success witht his brand of memory. Till now.

I keep getting Windows protection errors at anything highers then about 1480mhz(it's not 1480 exactly, but it's 1480 somthing, don't remember the exact number) 1466 run stable as a rock.

Just curiouis as to why this happens? Or if there is was to stop it. Voltage increase? IO increase? any ideas?

No idea why it happens, however it is a indication that your system has met its limit.. as a matter of interest though if you are running an exceptionally fast FSB this can sometimes effect data on the hard drives, which may be what you are encountering.

try lowering the FSB and increasing the multiplier .....change the RAM settings in the bios from cas 2 to cas 3...try that

if 1466 is stable, then it's not worth it dropping you fsb or dropping from cas2 to cas3 just to get to 1480. the performance hit you'd take from the drops will be much bigger than the gain from the massive(^_^) 14mhz-odd you'd gain overall...

If you are at 1466, and can't get higher with stability, heat is most likely holding you back. I had my 133 up to 1507, but as the weather warms up, so does ambient, and I have had to lower it back to 1466. I would like to point out a tip I received that has lowered my CPU temp dramatically. Instaed of jacking up the voltage, I went in the opposite direction. I am now running the CPU at 1466 at 1.675v, rock solid.
