I just recently got into overclocking and benchmarking video cards, and have really had some fun doing it. I thought I would post my results so far, and maybe even brag a little bit. I have 2 video cards that I have been using, a Gainward GF4 MX440 64MB card and an Albatron Ti4680P Turbo 128MB card. All of my overclocking and benchmarking so far has been done without volt-modding either of the video cards.

Gainward GF4 MX440 system

Intel P4 2.4B CPU @ 3.6 GHz (18*200)
Abit IC7-G mobo
2 * 256MB Corsair XMS PC3200 LL @ 2.0-2-2-5, 200 MHz, DC
MX440, stock 270/405, overclocked 330/515
3dmark01 score = 9204 (http://service.futuremark.com/compare?2k1=7049817)
1st place (http://oc3dmark.octeams.com/db/01db/gf4mx440db.html) on the OC3DMark Team website

Albatron Ti4680P Turbo system

Intel P4 2.4B CPU @ 3.6 GHz (18*200)
Abit IC7-G mobo
2 * 256MB Corsair XMS PC3200 LL @ 2.0-2-2-5, 200 MHz, DC
Ti4200, stock 250/550, overclocked 320/675
3dmark01 score = 17098 (http://service.futuremark.com/compare?2k1=7047654)
1st place (http://oc3dmark.octeams.com/db/01db/gf4ti4200db.html) on the OC3DMark Team website

I'm sure that some of you probably have higher scores than I do, but have not submitted them to the team website. Go ahead and submit them. I would like to see how I really compare to the best on our team.

(edit) updated new Ti4200 score
(edit 2) NEW Ti4200 score... now in 1ST PLACE !!!
(edit 3) Tried the MX440 in the IC7-G mobo, gained 432 pts

I'm surprised that your 3.3ns ram won't overclock any more than that, but it may need a little more voltage or better cooling. My card has the 3.3ns BGA RAM with aluminum heatsinks.

Looking at your various video card scores, I see that your MX440 score easily beats mine. You should submit it on the team website.

the ram on my albatron says 4 on them and they are rectuanglar shape too, no heatsinks on the ram. its not a turbro verson but should still do near what a turbro does!

See my latest update at the top of this thread.

I still haven't done any volt mods on my Ti4200 card, but I did remove the heatsink and lap the GPU core. It seems to have helped some, because I was able to increase the GPU speed about 6 MHz. I then turned down the AC temp and put a large fan blowing on the mobo, and was able to increase the memory speed about 14 MHz.

Nice job Edward, those Intels are really flying, haha:D
I'm not at my computer right now, will update it tomorrow when I'm home;)

No problem about the update Kato. And I must say that it has taken a lot of effort to pass your score, which was my goal from the beginning. At times, I thought I would never make it.

Obviously you are running a much higher overclock on your video card than I am (340/745 vs 320/675), but I am guessing that my higher CPU speed (3.6 GHz vs 2.57 GHz), higher FSB speed (800 MHz vs 442 MHz), and higher memory bandwidth is making up the difference.

In fact, I actually only beat you on 3 of the 7 games (the Car Hi and both of the Lobby games). You beat me on Nature and both of the Dragothic games, and we were pretty close on the Car Lo game. I'm guessing that the Lobby game must be CPU intensive, while the Dragothic game must be video card intensive.

You should try tweaking your CPU/video card some more and retake the lead.

This will be last update.

I decided to try the MX440 in the IC7-G mobo and gained another 432 points... making the new score = 9204.

I think both video cards have probably reached their limits without doing the volt mods. I found the volt mod technique for the Albatron Ti4200 card, but it should does look difficult. The chips that you have to solder to are extremely small, and I don't know if it is something I want to try or not.
