Right I have just put my old xpert 2000 card into my system as have sold geforce2mx as im waiting for a gts to arrive. The xpert 2000 did used to work with my old oc settings, but know that i have swopped gfx cards a couple of times when I overclock, the monitor goes on stand by and the computer doesnt boot. It works fine with cpu not oced. I cant see why? Any ideas would be great,
Rich

just a few thoughts, having had it happen...
check the seating of the vid card, and RAM. maybe it got disturbed?
check the settings in BIOS for AGP and memory... may have been ok for the GForce, but not the expert... try lowering them?
and lastly, drivers installed and display set up properly?
the card should O/C w/o probs,
try different FSB with stock multiplier maybe?
if you've thought of all this, sorry..
just areas i'd look at, but i'm no expert :)

since the comp is oced-seeing where the AGP runs at a fraction of the total speed- ya the Gforce could handle it-but its better than the other older card-maybe its just cant hanle those settings-try lowering the FSB

Valid point there likuid fusion but I used to have this card in my comp before. Sorry musnt have explained well. This card did work fine at overclocked speeds, prob arose just recently. I will try what u sugggested n2. Maybe I should disable 4x agp then itll overclock. ill see. ill reset mb then get back to ya.Thanks for the help,

u expalined fine-i judt read it toooo quickly-that weird-ame happened with me on my TNT2 8meg and my TNT Riva 16 meg-used to run fine overclocked or not-both cards- but i upgraded to win2k9 shouldnt make a difference) but now both cards lock up in 3d appz OCed or not-same card same drivers-even underclocked and AGP @2x -sux i cant figure it out. maybe try AGP@2x and a different dx version

OK, now I have reset motherboard, its still the same. But I had only tried to clock using the multiplier. That still doesnt work. But ocing using fsb does. Thats weird? And I did try different drivers, but I doubt its the gfx card anymore. Do u think my pencil trick wore off?
