I had a hp 1000mhz and two days ago went and bought a new board, new box,4 fans and am riding sweet at 1212 38c but since I fixed the L1 bridge on my socketA I'm to figure out what my numbers should be???? Currently multiplier@12x100/33mhz, no bump in my front bus and the volts are 1.80@3.6. can someone help me tweak it out because last night goofing around i was at about 1300mhz before i went back down till I talked to you all..... thanks

could you explain the question please?
sounds like you're doing fine, why no FSB increase?
what exactly are you doing? LOL
more detail is required, and i'm really not sure what you want to know?

I unlocked the multiplier so I could go at 12x but is that the best way for me to reach speed? Or should I use a combination of the two? Drop one down or up? What settings? My temp is good but I want to know how to tweak it with out locking up? thanks...

first...
lock-ups happen, like doo-doo, it's inevitable.
gotta get over the fear, and just have windoze ready to re-install.

now, most cases it'll never be that bad.

start stock multiplyer... and go up FSB a click or two at a time.
write this down, so you know what works.
when it won't boot, back up a notch, and see if she's stable there.
ok, good.

now raise voltage a click.
try to go the next fsb.
no go? click up vcore.

a combo of vcore and fsb gives the best O/C
multiplyer is the second choice here.
heat is your factor. what hsk/fan ya got?
RAM and vid card???

i do suggest reading the guides on the front page, cuz you'd have all your questions answered right there. spend the time and do the homework, and you'll be rewarded not only with knowledge, but a successfull overclock.

i've had this set-up now for probly almost a month, and i still have'nt O/C'd.
why? cuz i learn more each day. i'm in no hurry... and i don't want to buy new hardware :) i'm currently looking into watercooling :) these chips just don't run cool enough for me.
good luck!

Thanks for the advice and the video card I have is the all in wonder radeon and I'm not sure about the name of the heatsink but in the last two days I've spent about a 120.00 dollars on fans....A sweet slot fan, two 4in. fans and a super sweet 120volt 3in. fan blowing on the cpu. I have two blow holes , fan asisted...
thanks again...
