I just had my first try at overclocking today what do you think:
Duron 750@893 (105*8.5=893) Core voltage@1.75
full load temps@44*C
I can get up to 980 but only lasts about 2 secs in windows98se (would ME be better)
Any ideas on how to get higher. Thanks
By the way i have one 80mm YS-TECH back out take fan and a Coolermaster CH5-K12 for the duron.
Thanks

By the way my local shop is selling a fan and heat sink that they say will take AMD CPU's upto 1.33 should i get this one, when i ask what it was called they know very littile about, just that it was a Tiasol with a Delta fan.
Is this any good thanks. And if it is will it let me go higher say 105*9 or 105*9.5

Try increasing your core voltage for more stability but obviously watch your tempratures..
PS .. I like your signature on your first post.. Im sure I've seen somewhere before !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Should I consider thinking of another quote, if you are using mine ?
Increase your voltage....and get some better cooling. That Coolermaster fan will make a good paperweight...or possibly a doorstop if the door isn't too heavy.
Nice first attempt. The temps are ok, but could be a little lower. Use the fan in the case front to draw cool air in rather than pushing warm air out.
Your dealer's heatsink sounds doubious. If you upgrade get a quality part. If money is an issue try a faster fan first or get the GW WBK38 which comes for around $24 with a fast but noisy delta fan.

I will take it off if you like, just say if you do

Yes please.. but perhaps im being sensitive so have started a debate on this very subject.. your views are welcome
Coolermasters aren't for serious overclockers. I'd get a Millenium Glaciator if I was buying right now, or go with watercooling. My water cooling will be setup within the next few days.
