Hey all, been a while since I posted anything...I put my overclocking attemps aside for the summer. Will get back to it when the cooler season comes around, also get a better hsf. ANYWAY... I'm running a msik7tpro2a with a duron 700. My question is, can it hurt anything if I lower my vcore to ...say 1.5 or lower and run everything stock. I'm doing some burn in on lower voltage (prime95) every time I boot up.

Trying to see if when I do infact rev this puppy back to 900 or 950 I'll be able to set the vcore no higher than default which is 1.6 or 1.7 I believe....hopin' to keep the temps down.

What are your thoughts on this fellas? or experiences with the same senario.

I have my MSI K7T Turbo 1GHz@1.4GHz with the Vc at 1.70 V Default is 1.75V. I mainly did this to lower my cpu chip temp (got a 2 C drop) Present temp is 44 C at full load.

I run my 1 Ghz at 1.2 w/ a 1.5 Vcore. Its perfectly stable, and runs nice and cool. Temps rarely get up over 45-46c under load

im running my duron at 1.85 @38c with a water cooler amd's white papers say that the minimum v-core is 1.5 so i dont see any reason why u couldnt it is within tolerances.

duron 900@1103 105fsb x 10.5

Shouldn't be a problem - at least, if it doesn't work the only effect ought to be failure to POST once. That's not fatal when undervolting in my experience - my duron 600 does 600 at 1.35V fine, and the default voltage is supposed to be 1.5 I think.
