Hi, people,
I just tried oc athlonxp 2400+ but I can only do 170 x 13 with 1.6 - 1.7 voltage. Can anyone tell me how high can 2400+ do? because I really want the oc go up to 2400MHz. Thanks

By the way, I am using slk800 with tornado 80mm at 3300rpm (sunbeam fan controller)

my 2400 will easily run 225x10.5(2362) and probably faster, but I am currently limited by my memory. That OC is running memory speed @140mhz or so(using 5/3 divisor). You may be hitting the same problem with your memory. I have recently learned that a really fast clock does not do much good if the memory isnt up to the FSB you want to run.
Try running a higher Vcore, too (not too high).

<edit> since you are already above the rated speed of your RAM (166), that might be a good place to look.

well, my 2400+ is Prime95 stable with 11x200 at 1.65v, 11.5x200 at 1.75v, 12x200 was not stable at 1.8v, so I'm now trying a burn in.

Barnstormer, what voltage are you using to run 225x10.5? nice overclock.

how fast is your fan running at on the Volcano 9?

cool, this is my 200th post. :)

my 2400 aiugb 0245 wont go past 2.27 1.9v does nothing.. but its a rather old stepping

why bother boosting voltage, i'm at 11*200 on 1.65

idle is 41c and load is 51c. at least thats what MBM5 tells me... pffffft... yeah right, damn AMD thermal diode

that is also doable with my 2400+. 2200 is doable with 1.625~1.65v, but after that I need to increase voltages. Currently testing 11.5x200 at 1.725v.

DarkPhantom, excellent cooling. RAM is good for at least high 180s.
You've got an nForce2 which leaves us with your Vcore not being high enough or a cheapo power supply.

Drop the multi, up the Vcore gradually to at least 1.8 volts and try higher FSB. But if you heave a generic cheap power supply, forget about it.

Good to have you here. Post what's up.

Chip average is 2300 ; you have 2210, it's not that bad but you may probably do more, hopefully with a lower multi and a higher FSB.

Hi, guys, thanks for your info. I lower the multi from 13 to 12 and rise from 170 to 185. So right now, the speed is 185 x 12 = 2220 MHz. My question is how high fsb can go? I am using Kinston pc2700 512 mb and my power supply is Fortron 530watts.
Thanks for your help :)

Depends on your memory. You might get more out of it. Look at my sig, my Samsung PC2700 is running at 202MHz (2.9v).
Your PSU will handly the load easily, it'll power about any system out here! So that won't be an issue. :)
Currently my 2400+ is running at 2323MHz.
By the way, the CPU is watercooled.
