i do not know why nobody has caught this yet, i know the seniors are busy lately... it's going in this forum as this is where i see the problem.

first, there is NO PROFANITY ALLOWED in these forums.
we have young children here and it is not in good taste anyhow.

second, you may have a distaste for what someone is using... fine.
maybe tell them of your bad luck with it, maybe tell them why you feel the way you do... thats fair..
how about when you have a problem, i tell you it is due to the fact it is garbage you bought.
maybe everyone else can jump on that wagon and call you an idiot and a sucker! does this help anyone? what does it do? it creates hostility.
this is a place where ppl come to learn and to help, not slam hardware and
the individuals trying to make it work for them.
if you are'nt here to help.. why are you posting?
what you will accomplish is to turn this forum into a place educated helpfull ppl no longer wish to spend time in. what way does this benefit you?
i might be out of line posting this, i don't really care anymore.
i'm starting to see things getting out of hand in certain instances.
it would be nice for this forum to retain the type of quality posts and ppl i've come to love. there are certain rules here, and certain courtesies out of plain respect. this should all be common sense by now.

i'm not trying to slam any individual person, as i mention no names here.
my concern is for the good of this place... and those new members who come for help, and get slammed. they won't stick around here for that kind of treatment.

and lastly, once again, PLEASE read the front page guides, to get the basics down, and look through the threads already posted!!!

for those who already know this, i'm sorry you hafta see it again.
just tryin' to keep this place clean of trash.
:)

Herd that. I think it's not only the seniors job to 'police' for lack of a better word, the forum, but everyones.

i'm glad you feel that way. i feel i'm sorta overstepping my bounds,
but i also feel it needs to be said. and i just hope it'll be observed.
there's so much greatness in here,
(we even get printed coverage in the media, like MaximumPC)
that when new ppl enter our forums, it should be a great impression, not shadowed by ignorance.

disregard for respect of others IMO makes for alot of distaste.

cursing lessens appearance of class and intelligence <ya want this?>

and repetition of questions which are most basic is tiring, just read the guides! and then use the search function of the forums to see what info has already been put out there for you.
i can see many of the EXACT same questions asked in the last 30 days... why would there be a need? if nothing else, jump into that thread, and ask your "particular" question... those interested and knowledgeable on that topic will already be active within.

now this is good thread! and a necessary one as well!

imho, esp. the bit about inane posts and questions that have been asked four million times before. please read the front guides or at least search within the forum for an answer to a newbie question!!!

good on ya!

I agree totally, I am getting tired of seeing F this and F that, I come here to help and be helped, if I want to see that kind of stuff I will turn on the Jerry Springer show. :) I am glad someone brought this to light, thanks n2.
