I Just bought a Slot A TBird 950 and a Passive GFD (no power). I cannot get it to work. When I plug it in all my fans come on but the computer does not boot. This is even at default setting (9.5 & 1.80 volts)

I can run by bus speed overclocking to 1114 (117 * 9.5) at 1.95 volts (using on board jumpers for the voltage and bios for the bus speed) but this is as far as I think this motherboard can go because it is a K7M rev 1.04 117 was as fast as I remember others getting this motherboard to boot up to stabily. I know this is stable because it will do Folding@home.

Any one have any suggestions?

Am I missing a jumper on my K7M or do I just need a powered GFD?

For info:
Winfast Geforce 256
Diamond MX 300 sound card
US Robotics modem
256 mg of generic pc133 memory
Allied Telesyn AT 2500 TX NIC
Turbo Cool 425 Watt approved power supply

I was using a Trinity Micro Modified 500 at 700 (1/3 cache) before and it worked fine

Thanks

Tim

Most GFD's have problems running on default voltage, try to increase it some more, I needed to run my 1.6V CPU at 1.8V before it would get alive. So try 1.9 or even 1.95V.
