Why flash it to the 460 BIOS?.....just clock it the same and see what happens first!!....:D
well right now i have it at 300/440 (at 460 specs it crashed). would flashing the bios give me a higher overclock?
oh btw DrSpanky is that you in the avatar? :D

I don't see why it would...

the overclock is hardware based - bios should not matter - if it can not run at those speeds a bios change will not help.

what speed is the mx460?
i have my card at 375core and 375memory
i can get higher memory when i put the heatsinks i made on it
460s are at 300/500.
how did you make your own heatsinks?

I don't know about him but most people take an old HS (p1, stock AMD/P4 whatever) and cut it up with a dremel.
oops i misread it in my mind as 'ramsinks' earlier and even typed heatsinks out... http://www.akri.org/research/images/doh.jpg
well mine has air cooling on it and im not too happy with the overclock i got. must be the ram they slapped on this. it's a 64MB DDR PNY g4mx 440 (purp pcb) and identifies at startup as an NV17.
oh and another thing is the screen goes blank for a sec when it gets into windows (like it does when i apply settings inside the display properties).. that is normal right?
it really bugs, because when i used riva tuner to overclock i never got that on every startup.
