Hi!
Is that safe to overclock a duron 750 to 900 mhz, with 1.7v?
I tried it today, 3dmark2k ran without problems. After testing, the temperature was 40c (with globalwin fop32)
Can i leave it as a standard setting? Will it shorten my cpu lifetime?
Thanks for answers!

That seems a perfectly reasonable overclock to me, and your tempratures are not to high. While overcloking does effectively shorten the CPU lifetime, I believe that it is not a problem as a Duron 750 will be a out of date CPU long before you have anything to be concerned about.
Keep the overclock and enjoy your new found performance gain

That CPU may be capable of going faster than it currently is.. have a look in the CPU database for the gains typical of your CPU

Good Luck

I revisited the settings, and it seems unstable with 1.7v, but 1.725v is okay. is that still safe? almost 10% more, than the standard voltage!
and why does my abit kt7 board measere every voltage 10-20% less, then the standard? for example: core voltage 1.59v (instead of 1.7v), 3.2v (instead of 3.3v), 11.5v (instead of 12v), etc.
does it mean, my psu is so low quality, or the measure of the bios is so inaccurate?
