I need to pick up a couple more coolers and I'm wondering if I should stick with the Iceberq instead of the Iceberq 4?
I've used a few Iceberqs(all copper version of course) on northbridges and video cards and have always been extremely happy with the results. I haven't had the chance to try the new version and am wondering if I should even bother? I rarely [if ever] see it being recommended.
Thanks in advance for info. (actual experience with both preferred)

My next project will be a Ti4400, but I use these coolers on vga, nb and sb.
I just ordered an Iceberq 4 Pro that should be in on Friday. From the reviews I have read, it is well worth it. If you look on the Vantec website, they have links to reviews on performance and installation.
Definitely make sure you get the model that is appropriate for your card which I believe is the Iceberq 4 Pro according to www.case-mod.com
I got my Iceberq 4 Pro from www.case-mod.com for $15.99 + shipping. I'll let you know how it does :)
Here's the direct link to it:
http://www.case-mod.com/store/product_info.php?cPath=21_27&products_id=554
vantec iceberg = ~2.00 c/w
vantec iceberg 4 pro = ~1.50 c/w
temps were the relative calculations between the average the thing would get on a die simlulator at 30 watts or something, go fish; dansdata has some comparisons but they're done on different test platforms and also there's this german site which did some more heav duty comparisons too... you're also raxing against a non-linear curve going up cause the thing will eventually re-curculate the same hot air, as in a exp curve of diminishing gains...
big difference if you ask me

for those of us who don't speak Data, ummmm, could you translate that into English please?
in other words:
on a ti4600 or a fx5600u ---> ~20 degrees celcius open case and maybe a bit more if bad case ventilation

does anyone know if any of the the iceberq 4's (pro or non-pro) fit on the nb of an nf7-s?
i know the old iceberq (in copper and aluminum flavors) does, but unsure if the i4 does. i mean fit through the push holes, not using any epoxy...

Thanks for clearing up fafnir's explanation slater3333uk and thank you fafnir for the specifics.
I'm going to grab a couple from BestByte (http://www.bestbyte.net/Product.cfm?ProductID=1365&CategoryID=6&Keyword=) on my next order unless someone knows another store with a better price.
One more question, is the noise level much higher? I just visited vantecusa.com, but they've redone the site and the sound ratings aren't there anymore.
its loud i'll tell you that
not as loud as just LOUD, but in a quiet environment you'll definitely hear it..
maybe like ~35db
dun use these things for nb cooling, it'll just be pointless

Why would it be pointless on a nb?
it doesn't need active cooling
