Hey all it's me again. When I run 3DMark 03(the newest one)

I get as far as the 2nd sound test, and then I get a out of memory error. Whats going on?...Ive tried contacting Futuremark about this....But no go. Im running DX9b....would this have something to with it...Because I saw something on their website about supporting DX9a.. :(

The 5600 does do DirectX 9. That shouldn't be the problem.

Maybe your swap file is too small? Maybe your system's unstable (did you try running a prime95 marathon?)

Yeah Ran Prime for 3 days...figured it was stable...A swap file is usually Double your Ram right?...Should I try increasing it?

and Yes a 5600 Ultra....which is FX..does do DX9

I dunno, when I upgraded to DX9b I had all kinda quirks pop up. My mouse drivers wouldn't load, although they would work, my keyboard wouldn't load it's drivers, although it would operate under the settings it had before, and windows would take an extra 30-40 seconds to load. I'd check the drivers for the sound card. Maybe uninstall and reinstall. You don't ref your sound card, onboard?

Run MEMTEST with your current setup. Error's?

I don't think that your physically running out of memory space if you have 756mb and a swap file that is double that.

In fact, what is your memory config......three stick's? You might try running the bench with two stick's, or even one.

I run an Audigy 2 Platnum sound card. My memory config is: 1 stick 512, and the other stick is 256. I tried the test w/one stick, both sticks in different slots, I even moved the sound card to different slot and back. Messed w/memory settings in the BIOS. Still get the same error when I get to the second sound test. Any more ideas anyone. I am SERIOUSLY wondering if it is DX9b related?.:) I am gonna try it w/ my CPU clocked normally and see what happens.

Try it with the sound card out. That will answer the DX question.
