Tihs time a year, everyone and their mother seems to be coming down with something.. So I was just curious, How sick are YOU?
Me, I'm so sick the doctor put me on 2000mg of Augmentin to combat ear infection, sinus infection, raw throat, chest cold and various other bits and pieces.

Standard flu, but with the headache plugin. Couldn't stand up fast for 3 days.
I got over it in the usual amount of time though - 5 days :)

I find being a 3rd shifter I only get sick once or twice a year (when on vacation) I think only people who sleep can get sick :)
Im one of those people that next to never gets i'll but when I do it really knocks me off my feet.
I had the flu for the first time this past christmas and that didnt half knock my socks off, all i can say is i dont want it again. sayign that i do often get eye ache but thats self inflicted from looking at the monitor just about all day and night, going to sleep and doing the same the next day.
I am the same as some of you. I get sick maybe once a year. And its usually a minor cold that doesn't really affect me much. Stuffy nose and maybe a sore throat. I guess I'm one of the lucky ones. :santa:

Same here. I'd think I'd get sick more often on a college campus, but I'm just lucky I guess.

How sick are you?
Well, I eat babies...........
j/k - I'm not. If I'm hit by anything, I can shake it in a day or two. I am the owner of an Uber-immune system:)

So am I.
I work in a highly infectious area, so if I didn't I'd..well,I'd probably be dead. o_O;

TWO GRAMS!
Sure you don't mean 200 mg, not 2000 mg?
I've already had a wicked flu this year, tyvm.
Not sick right now, though I have been coughing up phlegm (such a wonderfull word!!) for the past month or so.... It's from when I was sick eariler and it has yet to work all the mucus out of my lungs.
I think I should take some robitussin and get it over with. One month of coughing up that stuff isn't pretty... Especially when you're not sick!!

i had a small cold last week.......I had an ear infection in august....had a reminant cough for about a month....then I got sick, and even though I'm not sick anymore, I'm still coughing.....very annoying.
Heh, it's funny......suddenly everyone on campus got sick, hehe. I was one of the last people to get it.....but it was still funny.

Lucky you----I am IgA deficient. After I was born I would get more upper-respitory infections than normal, so at age 18-months they wanted to run a few tests to see what was wrong. The instruments to test me with were up at Duke University so we took a trip up there. They were befuddled until they ran a blood test and found out that I was (am?) lacking badly in IgA. Apparently, most people's levels of IgA are in the hundreds while mine was near 0......I had blood drawn last year and we decided to have it tested again and apparently I am now in the "0-16 category"
Go here (http://www.primaryimmune.org/pubs/book_pats/e_ch04.pdf) (PDF) for more info.
With that said, it is interesting that I do not get sick that much, but when I do, we know to treat it quickly or else I'm stuck with it for a while.
I do run Cross Country for my high school, and I'm sure that running several miles (sometimes 7+) per day helps out quite a bit. :)

Right now I do not have anything contagious. However, I have an old mountain biking injury that comes back to haunt me every so often (I did a back flip over my handlebars at something over 45 mph/72kph). So I am walking with a cane and I cannot climb stairs or get out of a car without some serious pain.
Quite a few others are sick but no problems here. I make sure to self medicate  as often as possible just as a preventative measure :D
