i recently bought a soyo k7vta and a duron 900 i currently have it running at 1103@1.85v but i wanna go higher and i beleive the voltage is holding me back. the mobo lets me go .25v above default so i was wonderin if i changed my l7 bidges so that the chips default voltage was 1.85 would my soyo mobo let me go as high as .25 volts above the new default 1.85 ?? pleas hel if this isnt a viable option what is and where might i find out how to atain a higher v-core?

some mobo's can be modded to produce a higher vcore I don't know if yours can be though, what makes you think its the Vcore thats holding you back ?..
have you tried changing the FSB x multiplier to obtain a higher rate ? as you appear to be running with 105 FSB try a little higher with a lower multiplier

it will not go any higher than 105 and it will not post over 10.5 on the multiplier. this is why im thinking its the voltage.if my chips voltage is defaulted at 1.6 via the l7 bridges and my mobo allows me to put it .25 votls over amd's default locked voltage wuldnt u think i could trick the mobo by jumping the nesecary L7 bridges to atain 1.85 volts then uping in the bios by .25 to atain 2.1?

Connecting the L7's will probably NOT give you a higher vcore than 1.85. But you could consider doing it anyway. If you have the L7's unconnected the vcore will be at default (1.65v) until the bios tells it to set to 1.85, but if you got them connected it will instantly go to 1.85v when you turn on the computer. This can help you post at higher speeds. Be careful though, connecting them!!

my mobo allows .25 above default voltage what im trying to find out is if i set the L7's to 1.85 my mobo should let me go .25 higher right? right now the default is 1.6v adnd i got it at 1.6v+0.25=1.85 so conceivebly i should get 1.85+0.25=2.1 correct?, i just dont wanna mess with the bridges unless its gonna get my voltage higher u know every time i screw with that thing the chance im gooa F it up increases.
